magic keyboard how to reset?

1. Open System Preferences
2. Click Keyboard
3. Click on the Input Methods tab
4. Click + to add your keyboard (Japanese JIS), if this keyboard is not already in the list
5. Check Show input menu on the menu bar

Once this is done, you should see a flag in the menu bar. Click it and select the keyboard that suits you.

Thanks! 789uiojkl missing means you have Mouse Keys turned on by mistake. Go to your Accessibility preferences and turn it off. (also can sometimes be done by just hitting the option key 5 times in a row)

Please provided specifics about what keys are not working the way you want and what kind of machine and MacOS version you are using your keyboard with.

Is your keyboard for Japanese (JIS)?

Are you saying that when you tap on the qwertyuiop@[ keys that nothing happens?
