Magic keyboard misbehaving

I can’t type a sentence without it doing something weird! Goes to the Home Screen, emojis or the shortcuts list. I’ve already reset the settings, shut down and restarted. What else should I do?

Something doesn’t sound at right - but your description doesn’t pinpoint a specific behavioural issues.

Separate the iPad and Keyboard - and carefully/gently clean the smart connector contacts on both the iPad and keyboard with a soft pencil eraser. Ensure that the contacts are dirt and dust free - and all debris from the eraser have been removed - before reconnecting the two. Once reconnected, you can re-test.
