iPad Pro (10.5 inch) smart keyboard Model A1829 - not connecting
Hello, (I apologize for the quite long message).
I noticed that my smart keyboard stopped connecting, just a few days after the warranty expired. It is in perfect condition (not broken or damaged). It just stopped connecting…
I took it to the local authorized service provider and I was told that they don’t fix keyboards
they just offer a replacement price…
I think it is a shame that they don’t even try to fix it because smart keyboards are awesome
but also the most expensive keyboards on the market.
A new one costs 200 euros (it is a three year old model, and new iPads don’t support it) and
it comes with two years of warranty.
At the Apple Authorized Service Center, I was offered the chance get a new replacement for
155 euros!!! BUT, with 3 months warranty only, not 2 years!!!
This made me furious. The price is still too high, and I don’t understand why does Apple
give this treatment to its’ costumers. I feel disrespected… We are not talking about a new screen on a used phone, we are talking about a completely new keyboard (of a model going off the market) at a price near the non-discounted one.
I am really disappointed with the non-service and the really bad offer and I believe that Apple
service centers should think again about the offers they make for the most expensive keyboards on the market, that they don’t fix…
- Is there anything I can do to make it connect?
2. Does anyone know how to make an official complain about my issue (that will actually get an Apple central support center)?
thank you in advance
