The keyboard for my brand new IMac is not working. Is there anything I can do or do I need to take it into Best Buy where I purchased it from?

If it is a new Magic Keyboard, try plugging it into the iMac using the supplied USB cable.
Then you can manually pair it and unplug it when it is fully charged.
