Guys I really need your help. So as of recently my friend has lost his Iphone 12 pro. The thieves were able to disconnect the device from Icloud so we cannot use FIND MY IPHONE. Please give me some suggestions or ideas on other ways to track it. Thanks

- The Find My service is the only recovery feature Apple offers. It MUST be set up before the device is lost. If you did not do that it is too late to do it now and there is no other feature Apple offers that can help you find it.

There is no other way: Find My iPhone depends on the phone being on, not wiped, and able to connect to a network, and 'Find Myu iPHon' having been set up on it before it was lost. It's really intended for when you can't remember where you left it: it doesn't reallly work with thefts if the thief has any idea what he is doing.
Don't remove the phone from your listed devices, just in case it's simply been turned off and gets turned back on. However if you ever do manage to locate it you shouldn't try to retrieve it yourself - that could be dangerous. But it's likely that it's gone permanently.
In addition to the above… You might receive a call or a message from the thieves, claiming to be from Apple or the police or some such entity, and requesting proof of ownership to return the device. They want your Apple ID password. Don’t provide it.
