Problem with WAZE app on iPhone

When my WAZE app is on I keep getting the following message on my Honda Pilot's display screen each time I'm supposed to hear the audio directions: "The application cannot function when the cell phone is in use". This happens all the time even when I'm not on my cell. I've already deleted and re-downloaded the WAZE app and my Bluetooth connection is on. Can anyone help me figure out what I need to do to fix this? Many thanks.
