Stopped receiving mail; ports timed out
Today stopped receiving Mail on my MacBook Air. Error message: “p58-imap.mail.me.com” timed out
I tried restarting MacBook and Mail app with no effect.

We are happy to help with the issue you are having with mail and the error you are getting. Do you have more than one mail account? If you do, is the only mail account giving an error? Can you test this mail account using your web browser and see if you are able to check your mail? Can you test it on another device?
You should make sure you are running the latest version of software. Learn How to update the software on your Mac here.
You can also try to Start up your Mac in safe mode and see if the same thing happens. You might also want to create a new user and test there as well. Learn how to Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac here.
