My MacBook Pro isn't recognizing my Admin name or password. How do I fix this?

The caps lock key is not on.

I have reset the password 3x and it still doesn't recognize it. I was concerned that I wasn't using the correct Administrator name, but confirmed it was correct when I did the password reset.

I just got a new computer and want to use Migration Assistant and can't because of this. Any suggestions?
