All My IMAP connections on my older Mac Pro stopped working the other day... All say they can no longer connect to the same icloud account which works on my phone and ipad just fine... Did Apple change something about IMAP?

Remove the iCloud mail account and then add it back AFAIK - there have been not IMAP Changes from Apple. Running an old Mac mini High Sierra, Old iMac with Catalina and M1 MBA Big Sur plus iPhone 12 iOS 14.7.1 all connected to iCloud Mail and working fine here.
It all just started working again…. Looks like Apple fixed their bug.
already had all my setting correct. Things don’t just stop working and start again without some sort of changes on their end…. So, problem came from Apple and now they fixed their problem
Good to know. Now that the issue is marked as Solved - case closed? Hopefully for a long time.
Have you considered upgrading to a ewer version of macOS, if the computer qualifies for something newer ?? It may help to avoid such issues in the future or at least be a more current OS wise.
Need to update the machine and a comparable model to the one I own is now over 100 times more expensive than when I bought mine. Apple has lost their perspective under Cook. The new towers are ridiculous and nobody’s income could’ve possibly kept up with the new pricing scheme or the Apple level of inflation other than Cook himself. So, I’m waiting to upgrade my tower to a Mac Mini when the M2/X hits…. Such a sad state of affairs.
Stopped being allowed to update with El Captain…. Another Apple trick they don’t tell you about up front. They stop letting you update to their latest OS after 10 years. Regardless of the machine’s capabilities.
Actually, they do alert as to what computers Qualify for each new version of macOS.
And then is due diligence on the part of the User to make sure their machine can or can not upgrade to next OS.
Tried that last night. No luck.

Actually nobody tells you that. They might make the information available But it’s not in the sales pitch. My machine meets the machine requirements other than it’s age…
They retire hardware support regardless of hardware capabilities…. That’s screwing over your customer for the sake of making more money…
Any way you slice it forced obsolescence is a bad business practice.
