Not receiving notifications on Family Sharing

Hi guys and gals.


I am setting up the Family sharing option on my iPhone 12 pro max.


Everything is working well but there is one problem I can't get around. After setting up the Family sharing option I've added my daughter as Child, I am the organizer and my wife is added as Parent/guardian.


The problem is that my wife isn't getting any notifications from Family sharing (Ask to buy etc.). We have tried everything even deleted the family sharing group and made it all over on my wife's phone - er being the organizer - (12 pro max) added me as parent/guardian and the same thing happened. When our daughter tried to install something from the App store, I recieved the Ask to buy notification for the confirmation and she did not.


We are pretty new to iPhones and maybe I've overlooked something and that's why I'd need some help from you guys.

Thanks for reaching out through the Apple Support Communities about your wife not getting the Ask to Buy prompt.


It looks like you've had the chance to review the related article above.


Is her iPhone all up-to-date? Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch


If you temporarily leave the new Family Sharing group, does she still not receive the Ask to Buy prompts?


Hopefully those details will help to further isolate this behavior.
