How can I create this effect in fcpx

i cannot upload a screen recording, but essentially this effect moves the logo up from the original spot and back to the original spot creating a lifting effect. Would this require a plug in or can this be achieved solely through fcpx

It may be a good idea to ask in Motion but I can give you the gist of it.

First you need a separate image of just the logo. Use eg Pixelmator to do that.

Then you’d stack the two layers, add a camera and a light, and adjust the position of the logo. Using the light would cast a nice shadow. You can animate the position with keyframes or with behaviors. In this case I would just keyframe the Z coordinate of the logo.
