Error: "Unable to Add Card"

When attempting to add my Apple Card as a payment method for my Apple ID, I receive this Error:

"Unable to Add Card - There was a problem when trying to add this card. Try again."

I've tried many times over the last several months an it never works.

I believe this started occurring after I disputed an unrecognized charge to iTunes that one of my kids made. After that, my Apple card stopped working and I had to add a different payment method. I've since contacted Apple to inform them and get the payments back on track.

The Apple Card is in my Apple Wallet. But, when I attempt to add it as a payment method, it fails with the above error.

Any ideas?
