Siri says not connected to Internet, but I can pull up safari and use the internet.

How to fix Siri on iPhone XS Max. I can use safari and browse the internet, but if I try to use Siri it says she isn’t connected to the internet. I have turned her off and back on. Retrained with the questions and reset network settings and nothing is working. Please help. I can’t use Siri with Apple CarPlay to have messages read since she isn’t working when not connected.

Hello AggieTot93,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Based on your post, Siri states it isn't connected to the Internet. We'll do our best to assist.

It looks like you came from one of the best resources for this: If "Hey Siri" isn't working on your iPhone or iPad

We'd recommend to isolate this further.

Test Siri when connected and not connected to a Wi-Fi network.

Then test Siri when connected to your vehicle.

Does the issue begin once connected to cellular or when connected to the vehicle?

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Take care.

Hi AggieTot93,

Thanks for the reply and information, it helps us to know it's isolated to the cellular network.

Have you tried any of the following:

If it still doesn't work, have you set Siri to speak your messages in Settings > Siri & Search > Announce Messages with Siri?

Have you recently changed anything on the device or with the wireless carrier?

Hoping to hear from you soon, cheers.

Hey AggieTot93,

Good to know. You've done some solid troubleshooting so far.

Do you know if there are any restrictions enabled that might be blocking the cellular connection?

You mentioned that your husband's iPhone seems to be working fine with Siri. You could try to replace the SIM card with his to test if the issues persist when using their SIM card: Remove or switch the SIM card in your iPhone or iPad

If not, it might be time to consult with Apple about this issue.

Wishing you the best, take care!

Siri does not have an outage. My husband has the same phone and Siri works just fine on cellular.

I had already turned Hey Siri off and then back on (as mentioned in the original post) But I did it again. I have also restarted my phone multiple times. I have reset the network settings as well multiple times.

I have toggle off and on the Cellular / Mobile Data

My phone is on the latest software version 14.7.1

My phone doesn't pop up with Carrier Update - I went to General - About and Carrier is listed as AT&T 46.0.2

I have confirmed Siri works in my region - it works when I am on Wifi and it works for on my husband's phone - in the same region.

Changing Siri to speak my messages does not make a difference. Siri still says not connected to the internet.

I have not recently changed anything on the device. It is the same carrier and is "carrier locked"

Siri says not connected to Internet, but I can pull up safari and use the internet.
