Calender hacked!? Warning of viruses on iPhone.

My wife's iphone suddenly started getting a bunch of appointments stating she had viruses, and wanting to schedule seminar. She obviously hasn't clicked on these, and we don't know how this happenned, but but we don't know how to get rid of them or the threat. Any help.

If running iOS 13 or earlier versions, check: Settings - Passwords & Accounts - Accounts - Any rogue entries here? If so, delete the rogue account.

If running iOS 14, check: Settings - Calendar - Accounts - Any rogue entries here? If so, delete the rogue account.

Thank you. This helped.

FYI - The calender spam account didn't show a delete, only click OK to continue, which was disturbing. After one click another "click ok to continue" appeared, but no delete the account option as on a legitimate account. I aborted the process and looked at the video. By following the instruction to delete an event on that calendar the option to delete appeared. Selecting it deleted all events, like the video stated. Checking the accounts again I see that the calendar spam account is gone.

Thanks again.
