Find my airpods is refusing to play sound! Help they are running out of battery!

one AirPod is missing and it’s refusing to play sound! This is crazy! It won’t play sound and I need to find it before the battery dies!

this is what I’m getting know. It’ll make sounds once I find them which might be never since find my doesn’t work!

It’s not. I just had it 20 minutes ago. If the batt is dead after 20 minutes that’s pretty messed up.

Both were connected. I had been using them right before one got lost.

That generally means that the AirPods is not connected to your bluetooth (it may be too far away from your phone).

Do you see both AirPods if you check the current battery charge status?

Do you have other devices with bluetooth connected to your Apple ID, is bluetooth turned on?

Can you walk around your location in a pattern so that your AirPods may connect to Bluetooth?

I get this warning and when I try to override it it just crashes and makes me restart the search process.

If it isn't playing a sound it may be because the battery is already dead.
