Continuity stopped working for messages/calls (between iOS and macOS)

Hello,

Few days ago I noticed my iPhone was no longer working seamlessly with my MacBook Air for calls and messages. While before I could send text messages and receive cellular calls from my laptop, or select the MacBook speakers as audio output for calls received on my iPhone, now I cannot do any of this.

I did not change any setting.

Here's what I have already tried:

  • Restarting both devices
  • Signing out from both devices and signing back in
  • Making sure they're on same Wi-Fi and Bluetooth is enabled
  • Disabling and re-enabling all related settings in handoff, iMessages and Facetime

I have also seen similar threads here and I have already followed the troubleshooting in this 3rd-party website that is sometimes recommended here.

I'm currently at a loss why it's still not working. Any idea that could help?
