AppleTV HD ethernet stuck

I've got an AppleTV HD that won't disconnect from ethernet when it's been disconnected from its Cat5 cable. It was getting a self-assigned IP address and not getting online, so I removed the ethernet cable from the back, and in Settings->Network it still says Ethernet and I therefore can't connect via WiFi. Anybody else seen this and have a fix?
