Are their adapters that make use of the new charger cables for my iPad 2?
Is there an adapter that enables charging for my iPad 2 that takes present-day apple cables
iPad Pro 12.9-inch, 2nd Gen, Wi-Fi

Yep, hard to know what is meant by the OP. A common issue on this forum. And as MichelPM states, the profile info is unreliable. Whichever the case is, the OP has both answers and can reply if still confused.

iPad 2?
What iPad year and model do you own?
An iPad 2 is from 2011 and is nearly 10-1/2 years old, now.
I hate when users come here asking for help and do not take the proper time and diligence to give other users here their full and proper iPad year and model.
What iPad year and model do you actually own?
Good point Michel. OP may very well be talking about iPad Pro 12.9in 2nd Generation and just called it an iPad 2. That sent me into the weeds and addressing it as if the subject was only about the iPad 2. I may have misled the OP based on how I read the question and chose to ignore the profile information.

Sometimes users ignore to properly fill out the hardware signature OR put in the wrong iPad year/model and iOS/iPadOS version.
I have learned over the very many years of being in the iPad communities that the gray colored iPad hardware/software signature is ignored to properly fill out or is often wrong.
I NO LONGER take that bit of info as accurate, any longer. Most times, that bit of info is inaccurate.
I no longer fully trust that gray colored info, any longer.
Yes that is true. The profile states that it is an iPad Pro 12.9-inch 2nd Generation, however, the body of the post asks about an iPad 2. I went the body of the post and therefore my response addressed the iPad 2 from a decade ago.

Your iPad 2 uses the Apple 30 Pin to USB plug. If you want to use today's Lightning to USB cables then you will need an adapter like this one ➔ Lightning to 30 Pin Adapter. See image below:

It actually says "iPad Pro 12.9-inch, 2nd Gen, Wi-Fi" under the OP's post. So the answer is yes, there are chargers out there which have USB-C ports, including from Apple.
