Can I remotely control my elderly mother’s iPad from my phone if I am miles away?

We understand that you want to access an iPad from your phone, though the devices are not on the same Wi-Fi network. 

There are a few things you can do remotely using the Find My app and iCloud log in, such as erase the device, track it and put it in Lost Mode. Here’s more information on that Use the Find My app to locate a missing device or item

There is not an option in the Apple software to allow you to access or control the device remotely though, unless the devices are on the same Wi-Fi network and using the same iCloud log in.
