Security Camera video quality jerky with time lapse on iPhone

iPad Air IOS 14.7.1

I have just installed a security camera but the video relay to my phone is jerky with a time lapse of 5 to 10 seconds. However the video relay to my iPad is perfect with no perceptible delay.

Any help to overcome this problem appreciated.

Jeff, many thanks, the problem was resolved by simply turning the iPhone off and rebooting. Should have thought about this in the first instance but anyway thanks again.

Hello Alphalogan, 


It sounds as though you’re having issues with the video quality in your security systems application. Apple Support Communities is a great place for help! If you haven’t already connect to a Wi-Fi network,  and test to see if the issue persists. If you only have issues when connected to your cellular data network try the steps outlined in the following article. While the title of the article references a different issue they can help with many network related issues.


If you see No Service or Searching on your iPhone or iPad


If the issue occurs when connected to cellular data and a Wi-Fi network try the steps outlined in the below article. 


If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open
