Sometimes i can not make searching in mail app on may MacBook Air. This problem started with macOS big sur. I wrote something at search box in mail app and it started to searching but could not find anything. if i let it to search 5 or 20 minutes, suddenly it complete the searching and found. I don't understand what it is the problem.
Has anybody a suggestion?

where some of us do our best to help each other troubleshoot.
Big Sur was a major upgrade, resulting in quite a learning curve for many of us.
In the latest Mail app:
you can be quite selective about which folders you search,
which may be quicker than making it a huge search through many folders and files.
