Message Transfer

This is a bit of a long question. I’m getting a new iPhone tomorrow. My partner passed away recently and I really don’t want to lose our text thread. Is it possible to move that thread over to my new iPhone? Thank you.

As long as you are either using iCloud Messages, or if not, are making a regular backup of your current iPhone, you will be able to either sign into the same iCloud account if using iCloud messages, or restore the new iPhone from a backup of the old phone.
