I have a iPod 160gb. The model No is A1238 and serial No is 8K0405T69ZS. Can you tell me what battery I need to replace the old one? Also what Gen is it.

We can understand why you’d reach out for a solution. You have the iPod classic 160GB and has a built-in rechargeable lithium ion battery. Apple made the iPod classic 120GB & 160GB between 2007-2009, but was never referred to as generation, just iPod Classic. You may be able to get it serviced with a new battery at an Apple Authorized Service Provider, but the iPod Classic is considered obsolete.
