i can’t reset the apple id and password it has an activation lock i think i have entered the wrong password . phone was repaired as its home button wasn’t working can some one please help to restore the phone please

If it was your phone from new then activation lock can be overcome with your AppleID and password. Or take proof of original purchase to a Genius Bar.
If you bought it used and it is asking for an unknown ID then it can never be unlocked without the previous owner's ID and password
