Push notifications stopped working on iPhone 12

Hello,

For some reason my iPhone 12 has stopped push notifications whereby on WhatsApp and Outlook I do not get notified at all of messages or emails.

WhatsApp messages are not even being received (the senders say there is a single tick until I physically open WhatsApp).

This occurs on both WiFi and Data.

I have checked all the settings and even reset all settings to factory but this still occurs.

I’m now at a loss and about to send the phone back, unless anyone has any ideas?!

We understand that you're not receiving push notifications for WhatsApp and Outlook. Also, WhatsApp doesn't receive messages until it's opened. We'd like to look into this with you to see how we can help.

For messages not coming through, let's make sure background app refresh is enabled for WhatsApp. You can check that with the following resource: Switch apps on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

You can also check to make sure that background app refresh is enabled for Outlook, if you'd like.
