Multiple Profiles on MacBook

Hello! Can we have more than one profile setup on a MacBook in order to configure apps and data specific to the person logging in? Can more than one person access a MacBook and have their own login and data + apps secured under their login?

MacBook Air (2020 or later)

Best practice for multiple profiles Hello - I have a Mac mini that I was primarily used for audio recording. I am now having to use it for work as well. I am looking for some input on the best way to have 2 profiles (users?). The main thing is that each user would have different apps loaded on startup as well as different notifications settings (all off in the recording mode). 2nd User Profile on one MacBookPro My partner and I are using one Mac with two user profiles. How do I link my user profile to my own Apple ID? My intention is to connect my user profile to iCloud.

In System Preferences > Users & Groups you can set up individual users as you describe.
