3rd Gen Ipad Pro 12.9 Cracked Screen?

Ok, When I bought this Ipad Pro 12.9 in 2019, It was the latest and greatest screen Glass. Regardless, I still bought apple care like I’ve done on all 13 of my family’s Apple devices. Of course the screen cracked 4 months after the 2 year apple care expired! I was planning on buying the 5th generation Ipad, and was getting a $500 credit (before the screen cracked) towards the new one. I chatted with and then called Apple customer service…both were worthless in helping!!! Any thoughts on how to atleast get some credit towards a new $1400 ipad? I’m really close to switching back to Android!!! Thanks

My guess is you are going back to an Android tablet, then.

No one is going to take a broken, cracked glass touch screen iPad Pro in for trade.

No one wants a damaged, screen cracked iPad. No one.

Half the cost of an iPad is in the laminated glass and touch screen elements.

Don't know how the screen got cracked, but you should have been more careful and diligent with that expensive iPad Pro.

Glass LCD screen do not crack all by themselves.

Sorry, but that iPad is now a damaged and useless device to others and no longer is it worth any real trade-in value.

Maybe try and sell it yourself for parts value, but that will NOT be much either. NOT $500.

What did you expect after the screen cracked? Really? You still expected to get a $500 credit?

The screen is what makes a tablet a tablet. Without a pristine and fully working glass touch screen, ANY tablet is going to be a useless device and NOT worth anything in trade-in.

This is NOT Apple's fault, yet you wish to blame Apple, anyways.

Get real!

This same scenario will be the same with ANY other tablet maker! Even Android.
