Deleted SMS messages reappear under iMessage.

I have a MacBook, iPad and iPhone - I use iMessage on all three devices and iCloud to permit sharing. Deleted messages on MacBook, reappear, sometimes same day, sometimes next day. Also, in spite of a message saying the message will be deleted on all devices, this is not happening. I then also have to go to iPad and iPhone to delete the same messages -- even when the message does not show on any device - it will reappear on my MacBook, sometimes on iPad.

ALL devices are up to date (I update them regularly)

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.2

Boot into Safe Mode according to Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support and see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and check again.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 10 minutes as it's doing the following;

• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)

• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically

• Disables user-installed fonts

• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files
