I don't want to sync my iphone to my work computer, how do I stop getting the update software dialog?

When I plug in my personal iPhone to charge it off my work laptop, I get a dialog to update my MacBook software to sync my iPhone. I don't want to do that and I don't see how to stop getting the update notice.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.15

You will always get the notification if you plug your phone into your computer. If it bothers you, use a wall charger instead.
