iPad Pro iMovie to MacBook Pro Imovie

I started working on a video on my iPad Pro, but I noticed a few features like background noise reduction isn't on the program, so I thought with I cloud magic I could make the sound edits on my pro. I'm 90% sure this was possible back in the days of iMovie Theater. It seems odd that you would have few features on a device but not make syncing possible. Will I have to export the video then make sound edits on the edited file?

And yes, iMovie is switched on in the iCloud account.

I feel like I'm missing something.
