External Monitor on 2020 iMac

Is there a minimum resolution a external monitor has to have in order to be connected to a 2020 27" iMac? Given the indication from the specs below, does this means any monitor with a resolution lower than 3840 x 2160 will not work? Thank you very much for your help.

No it doesn't mean that. Those are the highest resolutions supported.
