Is it possible to pair just one AirPod?

I lost an ear pod and want to pair the remaining one but it won’t pair. Is it necessary to have two for them to pair.

Hello,

While you can use one AirPod at a time, both must be present for a successful pairing:

Connect and use your AirPods and AirPods Pro

If you can't find it, you can order a replacement here:

Good luck.
