NFL game pass - need to activate Apple 4th gen everytime log in

I have had the nfl gamepass for 6 years now. This year I have to activate my apple tv (4 th gen) EVERY TIME I try to watch. I have deleted and reinstalled the app. The “ robo reply” from nfl gamepass tells me the same unhelpful advice every time ( I have sent 13 help emails all with same info thus robo. Never a real person)

they don’t read my details with all I have done. Any advice? I have had gamepass and it has worked every other year where I activate the device and it is good for the season.

  2. Check for, and install, any available app updates for the NFL app: How to manually update apps on your Apple device - Apple Support. It is important to ensure your Apple TV is up to date first, as app updates may be tvOS dependent.
  3. Restore your Apple TV: Reset or restore your Apple TV to its factory settings - Apple Support


If the issue persists after that, it may be related to the information found on the NFL.com site here: Apple TV and Android TV access – NFL Digital Care. We'd suggest reaching out to the app developer again for more information.

I have the same problem, and it's driving me crazy. I noticed on this page something to the effect of purchasing the subscription from the device you use to watch. I know that I manage mos all my purchases on my laptop, and thus maybe this could be the issue. https://digitalcare.nfl.com/hc/en-us/articles/211374508-NFL-Game-Pass . It's the third bullet in the troubleshooting section.

Latest from NFL Digital Care (So far it worked for me)


For any issues on your 4th generation Apple TV we suggest the following:


1. Re-start the app


• Press the Home button to return to the Home screen of your Apple TV.

• Double-press the Home button to enter multitasking mode. ...

• Swipe left or right to select the app in question.

• Swipe up to force quit the app.


2. Re-start the Apple TV device


• Go to the Apple TV Settings > System > Restart

Interesting- they don't let you buy from apple tv. Mine is auto renew.


I have had the NFL gamepass many years on apple tv and it worked fine. so i think it is their issue (not mine). I deleted and reinstalled it as well. I am not wiping out /resetting to factory settings tho.

did you try that? I have too many items on it to take that step
