I just bought a new satetchi usb-c multi port pro adaptor for 2020 MacBook Air.
the HDMI doesn’t seem to work, it seems to pick it up on the Mac, but then image shows on the TV. (Using hdmi to hdmi cable)
any ideas?

We understand you're looking for some help connecting your Mac to a secondary display.
To be sure we understand, are you seeing option for the second display in System Preferences > Displays, but no image appears on the connected display?
If you have one available, try a another HDMI cable to see whether you get a different result.
If you connect the display while your Mac is off, then power it on or wake it, is there any change?

I managed to find another HDMI cable and that seems to work!
Im not sure why my original cable doesn’t work as it still works with all my other devices, PlayStation 4 etc.
