I can't get my contacts on my phone to appear in my icloud when I back up but my photos do back up.

Contacts that show on my phone do not back up to the icloud. They are stored on exchange, feels like I am missing one setting or button, but I am stumped.

iCloud is not backing up new contacts I've added a few contacts to my iPhone 7 this past month, but none of them have shown up in iCloud. Most of my contacts are in the cloud, and when I used the "Restore" feature it changed nothing. My phone is indeed setup to synchronize contacts but it doesn't seem to do anything. All iPhone contacts do not appear in iCloud Only 2/3 of my iPhone 11 contacts are synched or backed up to iCloud, so only 2/3 show up on my iPads or laptop. How to get remaining 1/3 onto iCloud? I don’t want to turn iCloud on/off on my iPhone in case I lose the remaining 1/3 of my contacts! Also - Why does this say I’m on an iPhone 6? I’ve had an iPhone 11 for several years & just signed in to “Ask the Community’ for the first time

Did that 3 times & restarted 3 times. Also can't empty trash.
