Magic Keyboard
Can I use the 12.9 inch magic keyboard with my smaller 11 inch iPad so that there is a little extra protection on the sides for the iPad? I also like the bigger keyboard. Will my iPad fall off of those magnets?

Sorry, no, this is not possible.
The Magic Keyboard for iPad can only be used with the specific models for which it is designed - as both the Smart Connector and individual magnets that hold the iPad must perfectly align. The Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro 12.9” is not designed for the iPad Air3/4 and iPad Pro 11”.
