SE 1st generation phone, IOS 15 update

We have a SE 1st generation phone, have been told IOS 15 won’t update this phone.

does anyone know the truth of this statement please.

As mentioned its entirely false. The First Generation SE will be supported for iOS 15. You can see the compatibility section here: link-> iOS 15 Preview - Apple

Whoever told you that was wrong, the 1st Gen iPhone SE will run iOS 15.

Thank you for reply Phil. I have had a look thru the link. Love a lot of the updates. Will study them further.

my own phone is newer than the one I questioned, which belongs to a member of my family.

we believe our update is due in the next few days.

there is a number of posts on our uk internet that made the statement to the effect we wouldn’t be able to update.
