blocking a phone from all devices

I blocked a phone number on my phone but I am still able to recieve the text messages on my macbook. how do i set it so I don't recieve the messages on any device?

How do you block a number across devices? When I block a number on my phone, the messages still go through on my Mac. This has made it so I've received some unwanted messages. Is there a way to automatically have a block on one device be effective across all my devices because this has happened repeatedly. They all are signed into the same Apple ID and this is frustrating.

On the computer, open Messages, then go to the Messages menu at the top of the window, and from the dropdown menu, select Preferences. Then go to Accounts and select Blocked. Add the number there.
