Yes, there was another older thread with the exact same question. Never saw the issue resolved though.
The issue is when I open up Safari on my iPhone (7) there is now a Google pop up badge that says "Fast access to GOogle" Get the new Google widget and a button for "Get the app". I have to close it on every single new Safari page. It's extremely annoying. I don't want the Google widget - never will. Pop-ups are blocked on my phone. Same issue others in the earlier thread were having. So I switched to a different search engine and that took care of the problem, but WTF. Apple should have a way to block that crap.
We’re other users like you. Not Apple.
What hasn’t been fixed? There are lots of things wrong on the internet, too.
Pesky pop-up ads are common on the internet.
If it’s a local app generating an ad, which app? A Google app or Google widget? Remove the app.
There are lots of old threads around here.
Which search engine did you switch from? Google search?
{I’ll assume no add-blockers, no add-on VPN apps, no add-in security apps, and no Google apps installed.}

Ask Google, it's their widget.
