The way I got them to work was to turn off bluetooth and turn your phone off. While your phone is turned off hold the button on the back of your airpod case with both earpieces in them until the light starts blinking white. After you get the case to start blinking white then turn your phone back on and turn bluetooth back on as well. Then open your airpod case near your phone and the connect/setup screen should appear. That’s how I fixed them.
