Since a couple of week I can't open preview or photos anymore.
When I open the apps they crash immediately.
I have found advises to remove certain files fro my library, but they didn't solve the problem.
Does anybody have an Idea what could be causing these apps to crash?
My iMac runs OSX Catalina 10.15.7

1 - Try booting in safe mode - does it still happen?
2 - Try creating a new user account and try when logged into that account.
These checks will tell us if the problem is system wide, or linked to a particular user account.

Then the next thing I'd try would be to reset the SMC (And PRAM if it exist on your mac)

If it is still not working at that point, you may need to re-install macOS. However before trying that drastic step I'd suggest contacting apple support to see if they have any other ideas.
The problems still occurs in save mode and also when I use the guest account
