iMac/Big Sur

My new M1 iMac running macOS Big Sur 11.5.2 keeps having "panic attacks" which cause it to re-boot. I have reported this to Apple many times and spoken at length to Apple Support who basically just suggested re-loading Big Sur which has changed nothing. The message box containing the re-boot information says:

"panic(cpu 0 caller0xfffffe001f124c10): Wake transition timed out after 35 seconds while calling power state change callbacks. Suspected bundle: com.apple.driver.usb.AppleUSBHub. Thread 0x9e1a. Debugger message: panic"

and so on for another 6 pages. It is not always "cpu 0", it varies.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

How old is this mac, is it still under warranty.

The panic seems to be coming from the Apple USB hub,

could be a faulty unit.

Make an appointment at the Genius Bar and see what they say.

If it is under 14 days take back to Apple and get them to replace the iMac with another one.
