Airdrop not keeping date stamp on photos transferred to Mac.

I have the "All photos Data" selected before each transfer but the Photo time stamps are being overwritten by Airdrop when I transfer photos to my Mac.

Process:

On iPhone SX select around 40 photos > Click Share button > Click on Options link on top of page > Select "All Photos Data" > Click Done > Select "MacBook" airdrop from favorites OR select Airdrop button and select the target device.

All other metadata is being copied except Date and time, so all files have the current system date and time. What am I missing here? Is this a known issue?

Hello Yawho4,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities!

We see that your Photos are showing the date that you Airdropped them instead of the correct date and time metadata and you referred to How to use AirDrop on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

We’d be happy to help you!

We’d recommend booting up with safe mode through the steps in How to use safe mode on your Mac to test AirDropping the photos that way.

Let us know if you experience the same issue.

Take care.
