Is the camera stabilizer running even if the camera is off?

About not using the iPhone on motorcycles.

Does it affect all iPhones?

Is the camera stabilizer running even if the camera is off?

Currently running on a 12 Pro I only to use the GPS.

(I always use a GoPro when filming och the bike.)

Motorcycle and motor scooter handlebar mounts (and probably mountain bikes) shake iPhone cameras to bits. That happens even if the phone is off. That's it.

The more complex the camera the bigger the risk. I have seen too many busted cameras on this forum and none of them were using the camera at the time.
