FaceTime sign on for MacBook Pro
Why does MacBook keep asking for an old Apple ID for signin? I cannot find that old Apple ID anywhere on the Mac.

Hi Queensand,
It appears that your MacBook Pro keeps asking for you to sign in with an Apple ID for FaceTime. To confirm, is it your old Apple ID email address it is asking for or is it unknown Apple ID? If it is an old Apple ID of yours, does putting in the password stop the prompts?
Does restarting your MacBook Pro help? Log out, sleep, wake, restart, or shut down your Mac It may seem like a simple step, but it can sometimes help resolve issues.
Take care.
Queensand,
Thank you for those details. Do you still see the same prompt when starting your MacBook Pro in safe mode? Safe mode can help isolate what might be causing this issue. If needed, you can read more about safe mode and how to enter safe mode here: How to use safe mode on your Mac
Let us know what happens.
Best wishes.
It is an old Apple ID I haven’t used in over five years. I don’t remember the password anymore. Shutting down or restarting the Mac don’t solve the problem. It keeps popping up asking for a password no matter what I’m doing even though I cancel out of it.
