I can't install macOS big Sur

When I tried to install it, this below message showed up

: you may not install to this volume because it is currently being encrypted

I downloaded the macOS Big Sur for my MacBook Pro I bought used and when it comes to installing it I get a pop up that says “you may not install to this volume because it is currently being encrypted “. Updates What can you do when the disk for Big sur is being encrypted and will not let you install it? But you already downloaded it.

I'm not able to install macOS Big Sur because its saying my hardware is getting encrypted. kindly help me I just got a new MacBook Air yesterday and it asked for a system update to download the macOS Big Sur which I did but now I'm not able to install it because it says my hardware is being encrypted. I'm new to all this and don't know what to do next. kindly help me.

You will have to wait until the encryption completes

>System Preferences>SECURITY & PRIVACY>FileVault

Use FileVault to encrypt the startup disk on your Mac - Apple ...
