I'm not able to install macOS Big Sur because its saying my hardware is getting encrypted. kindly help me

I just got a new MacBook Air yesterday and it asked for a system update to download the macOS Big Sur which I did but now I'm not able to install it because it says my hardware is being encrypted. I'm new to all this and don't know what to do next. kindly help me.

Open Security & Privacy System Preferences and click on the FileVault tab.

Does it indicate it is encrypting? If so, leave it connected to the power source until it completes the encryption process.
