adjust size of marquee selection with micro adjustments

Hi there,

I was using Audacity to edit my podcast interviews and I've now started to use Logic Pro X. However, one aspect that I miss is the ability to drag the edges of the selected region (Marquee tool) to include or exclude something before deleting the unwanted audio.

I understand that I can use the arrows to adjust the start point and the end point of the marquee selection but it jumps to very large gaps as opposed to making micro changes. In Audacity, I am able to grab the edges of the selection and easily adjust it to my needs.

Is there any way to do this or something similar with Logic Pro X?

Thanks.

I have Snap turned off, so not sure if that is having any affect, but the snap still doesn't help me fine tune the area selected by the Marquee.

However, I think I found a solution that seems to do what I want. First I delete the unwanted selection and then I can adjust the sides of the selected area with the mouse by grabbing the edge on the lower half of the track.

That seems to work for me. I would still like to learn how to make adjustments to the selection before deleting but at least I get to adjust it afterwards.

That is for trying to help. 🙂 Any other ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
