my iPhone keeps suggesting the name of my calendar event. How do I delete them from history. My father recently died and each time I type in visit mum it says visit mum and dad which is upsetting.

You're in the exact right place! You need to turn off ''Show Siri Suggestions in App'' under Calendar.
Then test typing an event title again.

Sorry I am likely very stupid but if I type an appointment title beginning with M ( I want to type mum in as an appointment) it comes back with the following. I don’t want these suggestions to come up or I want to delete all the history of suggestions that have built up and start again.
