I tried to update my iPad this morning with the very important update (14.8) and it went halfway through it and stopped. Now the u,plate won’t light up to choose it, and it’s plugged in but not taking a charge or anything. Help

I tried to update this morning with the new update that’s very important (14.8) and it went through some of the update but stopped. It’s not taking a charge or anything. It states I need the update, but the update is not highlighted so I can’t pick it to update or to finish the update. The iPad is down to 19% charge, and it’s plugged in. It’s not taking a charge at all.

iPad, iPadOS 14

Connect your iPad to its Power Adapter; whist still connected to external power, try a forced-restart:

  • On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
  • On other iPad models: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
